Namnet på den här bloggen är högst improviserad och kom sig av att jag höll på att läsa en artikel av Jia Tolentino om Yoko Ogawas roman The Memory Police. Här ett utdrag från den om vad romanen har som utgångspunkt:

In the novel, the psychological toll of this forgetting is rendered in physical reality: when objects disappear from memory, they disappear from real life.

These disappearances are enforced by the Memory Police, a fascist squad that sweeps through the island, ransacking houses to confiscate lingering evidence of what’s been forgotten.

Det lustiga var att jag trodde boken hette The Memory Palace.
