Rowdy library

Campus police say they had to escort about 400 \"rowdy students\" out of URI's Robert L. Carothers Library and Learning Commons on Sunday night. Police say they believe the students were part of a gathering organized through social media.

University officials say students gathered primarily on the second floor, where they chanted, stood on tables and played loud music. Police cleared the library and closed it early, citing safety reasons.
