AR-industrin
Nästa vecka äger en stor Augmented Reality-konferens rum, med namn som Bruce Sterling, Will Wright och Vernor Vinge på talarlistan. Det är i sanning en industri på framväxt, och jag har lite dåligt samvete för att jag inte har följt med tillräckligt mycket. Jag gissar att det beror på att det är för hi-tech för mig, och mer industri än arts & craft.
Hur som helst innehåller den här intervjun med Bruce Sterling några intressanta saker:
I said [...] two years ago, that Augmented Reality would become a real industry when you could design an Augmented Reality system with an Augmented Reality system.Think of it this way: if AR is "real-time interaction that combines virtual data with three-dimensional real spaces," then why would you leave that environment, and go to some dusty flat Internet screen to get real work done? Isn't that rather like designing a website on graph paper.

Constructed right, the AR Brazilian Moscow might even be a better Moscow -- a Moscow that Russians themselves would pay to visit.

But AR is one visible indication that the Internet really could look like a "legacy." The Legacy Internet as an old-fashioned, dusty, desk-based place best left to archivists and librarians, while the action is out on the streets.
